Enterprise Service Repository & Services Registry
Change:
Integration repository is now referred as ESR - Enterprise Service Repository. As PI 7.1 forms the backbone ESOA (Enterprise service oriented architecture); web services are integral part of it. Services Registry is repository to manage and publish the web services.

Importing Software Component
Change:
Software component is not imported using the options “tools” in the menu-bar. It is now instead imported using following steps:
Click on Create Icon
Choose Import from SLD and Click of Display
This will display the list of components created in SLD. Choose the appropriate component and import it to ESR.
Create Namespace in the component
There is no significant change as far as namespace creation is concerned in this version.
Creating Data Type / Message Type
Change:
Like earlier versions nothing will be create by default under the namespace. It is required to use “create” icon to create any of the desired object.

Message Interface is now a service interface!
Change:
Message interface is now referred as service interface. Service interfaces have few more attributes than earlier versions highlighted below. There are blogs which highlight importance of individual attributes.

Message Mapping
There is no change in message mapping as far as the terminology or the appearance is considered. But there are many new features added in mapping as far as the functionality is concerned.

Interface Mapping is now Operation Mapping
